An emergency consultation meeting was held at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the impact of the financial budget, in which representatives of business organizations across the district and the city including poultry pharma, mobile, furniture, travel and tourism, stationery, marble, construction, Representatives of other industries including property, gems and jewellery, along with officials of tax bar associations were also present. In the meeting, the representatives of ICMA and tax bar associations gave a detailed briefing on the measures taken in the budget, tax rates, penalties on filers, non-filers and late filers, double taxation and advance tax. The participants rejected the anti-business measures taken in the budget and the implementation of taxes and expressed serious reservations about the budget, saying that the budget measures have closed businesses. Vice President Muhammad Hamza Saroosh, Vice President Faisal Shahzad, former presidents, executive committee members and a large number of chamber members were present.
