PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar stated that Imran Khan has emphasized that negotiations should take place, but there should be a clear timeframe for the approval of demands. Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, he said that Khan has been informed about the start of negotiations, but he insists that there should be a timeframe. There should be progress on our legitimate demands within a fixed time. Barrister Gohar further clarified that no international matters were discussed with Imran Khan, and the PTI founder’s directive is that only the Chairman, Secretary, and Information Secretary will speak on foreign policy issues. No discussion took place regarding the civil disobedience movement; only negotiations were discussed.

He also mentioned that four of their members could not participate in yesterday’s negotiations, which had already been communicated to the Speaker of the National Assembly. In the next round of negotiations, they will present the Charter of Demands to the government and move forward with it. They are hopeful that a meeting will take place with Imran Khan before the formal start of the negotiations. Ali Amin could not participate in the negotiations due to his involvement in the Apex Committee.

Barrister Gohar stated that the negotiation committee was formed by the founder of PTI, and many people, including himself, are not part of it. He expressed optimism about the negotiation process, hoping that a resolution for all issues will be found. He also mentioned that all the cases against the founder of PTI are political, and he has already been granted bail in all of them, except for one reference, the decision of which is expected next month. He expressed hope that if a fair trial is conducted, Imran Khan will be acquitted and granted bail as well. He added that all committee members will be part of the negotiations on January 2, and they will present their demands to the government in writing.
