Mr. Khurrum highlighted that these solutions will be of critical importance to mobile operators with the launch of 3G and LTE solutions. He pointed out that mobile data traffic is expected to increase exponentially after launch of new technology and bandwidth utilization and customer experience will be an area of key concern for service providers. In this regard, internet caching and video optimization provide a means of effectively saving network bandwidth while at the same time improving customer experience. Similarly, WiFi off-loading solutions can be used to off load traffic to available WiFi hotspots of service providers to free network bandwidth.
Mr. Lawrence Leng, Field Marketing Manager from Anritsu along with Mr. Darren Lim, Channel Sales Manager APAC provided the audience with an absorbing session on solutions for their future requirements including a brief training session on their Site Master and OTDR line of products.
The seminar was attended by 150 participants from the entire telecom sector including representatives from PTCL, NTC, MOITT, Mobilink, Telenor, Ufone, Warid, Zong, Wateen, Worldcall, USF, LTE, Cellmore, SCO, Comsats, Wi-Tribe, Multinet, NSN, Alcatel Lucent, Ericsson, ZTE, Huawei, PTV, Dunya TV, BHP Billiton and major sub-contractors working in the telecom sector including Mobiserve, EPTSC, Prime Telecom, LCC, KSS and Komkonsult.
The seminar started with welcome from ITEL’s COO and Managing Partner, Mr. Humayun Kamran followed by an introduction to their solutions by Mr. Khurrum Makhdoom, CEO and Managing Partner, who presented ITEL’s solutions including Kathrein for Antennas, Dingli for Drive Testing, ACTIX for post processing and Self Optimizing Networks, GeoImage for digital map data, Alepo for WiFi Off loading, Mara Systems for Internet Caching and Byte Mobile for Video Optimization and Caching.
