Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) held its 2nd HR Conclave ‘Future-Fit HR’ here in Islamabad. The two day conference provided PTCL HR fraternity an opportunity to define together, the strategic HR agenda that reflects the commitment and readiness of PTCL’s Future-Fit HR team, to lead the company towards growth and success.
The annual platform enables HR professionals to collectively review past performance, celebrate achievements, explore industry best practices, gain business insights and participate in focus group sessions to gear up for the future and develop a clear line of sight backed up by a strategic action plan.
Syed Mazhar Hussain, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) PTCL while sharing his vision for the HR Function during his inaugural speech said: “The Future-Fit HR would take on a more proactive and progressive approach for enabling the line of business to attain elevated performance level in terms of business growth and delivering exceptional customer service. HR would be the transformative force driving the organizational revolution through development of a winning culture”
Appreciating the HR team for their contributions, Syed Mazhar Hussain added “The acknowledgements and accolades awarded to PTCL HR by Etisalat Group and by prestigious HR platforms and reputed HR bodies of Pakistan are a testament of the HR team’s exceptional performance in comparison with the local and global benchmarks”.
Key highlights of the Year 2013 in terms of overall business performance as well as achievements of the HR Department were also elaborated upon by Syed Mazhar Hussain.
Kamal Ahmed, Chief Digital Services Officer (CDSO), PTCL and Muhammad Nasrullah, Chief Business Operations Officer (CBOO), PTCL also commended the achievements of HR that have significantly impacted the business and articulated their future plans where HR could make valuable contributions to promote business.
Amir Rao, Country General Manager Microsoft Pakistan and Dr. Sadia Nadeem, Director Management Advancement Research Center, FAST School of Management were also invited to share their experiences of HR best practices and latest trends for enhancing HR’s readiness and prowess for strategically contributing towards building business excellence.
The two day conference also included exciting Karting Competition organized to emphasize HR’s vigorous and dynamic approach of ‘Racing To The Future With A Winning Mindset’, coupled with HR Gala night where special recognition accolades were awarded to exceptional performers of HR department.
